My Poem
Last week we read the poem Life Doesn’t Frighten by Maya Angelou. She is from Stamps, Arkansas. I was also born in Arkansas. The theme of the poem was about a little girl getting over here fears. We had to write a poem to about something that scares us. Bees scare me a little bit. My poem is called “Bees”.
Stings they want to make,
My screams they want to take,
My cries they want to hear,
Because I know they are near,
I make the leave,
They don’t frighten me at all.

I was never scared of bees but once I sat on one! Ouch! Are you still a little scared of them? This poem is really good. Keep on updating please! Check out some of my work at 2017ijg.edublogs.org!

Your poem is very nice.
I am a big fan of “Life Doesn’t Frighten Me.” Have you seen the picture book of it? It’s great!
